I usually just add a couple of biceps exercises onto my back workout. Alt hammer curls, cable hammer curls, cable bicep curls, seated alt curls etc..
Sorry Ive been so slack and haven’t posted since comp.
I had an awesome day! It was intense! There was a lot of waiting around as the show started at 11am and I wasn’t on till about 2pm, then again at 6pm for my routine.
After I came off stage the first time I was in a bit of shock I think. I was relieved it was over, but I wanted to do it again, I couldn’t eat, I just wanted to chain down ciggies lmao Most insane adrenaline feeling ever!
I hit all my poses first and perfectly, except the abs and thigh- I was shaking so much (apparently no one could tell though)
Second time on stage was for my routine- which I hardly practiced and I really didn’t want to do. I didn’t hit the poses as sharply as I should but I did it all in order and didn’t look too bad so I’m happy.
When they announced the winners, the MC started by saying they had a special announcement and trophy for someone who had the best stage presence and was just glowing on stage… They called my number!
I was a little disappointed to not place, but I’m ok with it now. The girls that placed were a lot smaller and leaner than me. I look a lot fuller and muscular- which I actually like better!
The judges said I had amazing symmetry and proportions, and my stage presence and posing was the best on the day. The lineup was of 8girls, and it was the best lineup of the whole show. Every girl looked amazing! They also said I was 3points off getting 3rd! 4th outta 8 ain’t too bad! The thing that let me down unfortunately was my stomach. I need to have my stretchmarks lasered if I’m serious about this.
The last few days have been very up and down. It’s crazy to be so focused on something for sooo long and then BAM it’s over and done with!
I also kind of feel like I’m not in shape anymore and I don’t look good, which I know is ridiculous because I’m in better shape than most.
Plan now is too keep training with my coach every 2-3 weeks and improve the areas that need work, while staying relatively lean. I want to put in a solid year of training, then maybe compete with IFBB this time next year. Coach said my shape may be suited better to IFBB.
PICS ARE COMING :)
Ermmmmmm…. Yes? I have no idea if that’s a genuine question, or if you’re implying that I don’t… Pls respond.
Haha I am engaged :)
